What will happen if Mullapperiyaar Dam breaks?
1. A minimum of 50000 people will die. And if Idukki dam couldn't contain the water and breaks, minimum 15 lac will die.
2. Kerala will virtually become two parts.
3. If Idukki dam breaks the whole Kerala will be in dark for years.
4. All types of contagious diseases will spread in the affected areas.
5. Tamil Nadu will be cornered.
6. A region based economic war will start between TN and Kerala.
7. No Tamilian will be ever welcome again in Kerala.
8. No dam will be ever allowed to built in India for hydro electric power nor for irrigation.
9. Tamil Nadu will no longer get water from Periyaar
10. There will be crisis in TN and Kerala. Tens of thousands of people will lose their properties. Kerala will feel it difficult to build infrastructure again in affected areas. The financial capital of Kerala, Cochin, will be no more. No water to TN means not much agriculture in TN which will end up in less import of food items to Kerala. If more people die in Kerala, less consumption of food based goods from TN resulting in loss to farmers in TN.

A total of 22 earthquakes had already occurred in last 8 months in the vicinity of Mullapperiyaar Dam. Two of them measuring near 4 in Richter scale. Dam which is already leaking all around can take a quake which measures around 5? Do we have much time? Still you need time to start your protests?
Whose mistake it is? Is it the mistake of the Travancore kingdom who signed a treaty to lease the dam to British for 999 years under British pressure. Or is it the mistake of Tamil Nadu who tells that the lease agreement is still valid even 50 years after the British left the country. Or is it the fault of Kerala Government who refuses to give more water to Tamil Nadu where intense shortage of water for daily usage and agriculture is there. Kerala is a state with abundant water resources are there and they dont use the wanter from Mullapperiyaar dam as such for any purpose.
Whoever be the owner of the mistake, should millions of people in 4 districts in Kerala die?
